Motorcycle Accident Denton Tx 2018

By | July 16, 2022

It’s been a grim start to 2018 in Denton, TX, as a motorcycle accident on January 3rd has left one person dead and another critically injured. The incident occurred at approximately 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of I-35E and University Drive.

The victims were identified as 28-year-old Denton resident Timothy Robinson and 23-year-old Justin Thompson from Denton. Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene, and Thompson was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but authorities believe that speed may have been a factor. Witnesses describe seeing two motorcycles traveling at an excessive rate of speed just prior to the crash.

This tragedy is a reminder to motorcyclists and motorists alike to always be mindful of the road and use caution while driving. Motorcycle accidents are especially dangerous, as riders often lack the protection that cars provide. Even when wearing a helmet and other protective gear, a collision can easily be fatal.

Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Timothy Robinson and Justin Thompson during this difficult time. We hope that the authorities are able to get to the bottom of this tragedy and that justice is served for the victims and their families.
