Motorcycle Crash in Harrisburg Leaves Two Seriously Injured
A motorcycle crash in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania left two people seriously injured on Sunday. According to police reports, the accident occurred at around 6:30 pm when the motorcyclist hit the back of a pickup truck that was stopped at an intersection. The rider and passenger were thrown from the bike onto the street, and both suffered significant injuries.
Emergency services arrived at the scene quickly and rushed the two victims to the hospital. After undergoing extensive medical treatment, both are now in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery. It is unclear whether either rider was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, but police believe that the lack of protective gear likely played a role in the severity of the injuries.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, but the truck driver is cooperating with authorities and no charges have been filed yet. With more motorcycles on the roads during the summer months, motorists should remain alert and aware of motorcyclists when driving to help reduce the number of these tragic accidents. Both the rider and passenger are fortunate that the injuries were not more serious and we wish them a speedy recovery.
